1998 Qantas TVC-Australia Home II

Australia Home II (1999/Australia) : Shortly before the 1999 Superbowl, and during other occasions, people worldwide have seen a very special Qantas commercial featuring the Australian Girls Choir and National Boys Choir. The same song, interpreted differently, trimmed down to 2 minutes, and filmed in many many corners of the globe, such as the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, the Great Wall of China, the Kings Canyon in Australia, etc. The most expensive Australian ad ever made (USD 3 million) and one of the most expensive worldwide, this is truly impressive. The result is one of my all-time favorite commercials

  1. okay
    it's
I've been to cities that never closed down from new York to Rio and old London town but no matter how far or how wide I roam
    I still call Australia home

idk how they were allowed to glitch the lyrics in the first place ?

this song was co produced and written by the Mr Peter Richard Allen
♡ who emphasized the true essence of Australia through lyrics
why on earth did they glitch his lyrics for??

    rip darlin x

  2. Every time I hear this song I get goose-bumps! I am so proud to be Australian & especially to live in Melbourne, the world's Most Livable City for the FIFTH year in a row! I have another reason to be proud as I have two granddaughters Darcy & Matilda who both belong to the Australian Girls Choir.

  3. I remember back in primary school, we were being taught that a Q is always followed by a U.. I put up my hand and asked 'but what about QANTAS?' – I was about 7 then, I didn't know better.. And this would kinda correlate with the release of this video.

  4. Australia best country in the world, we should be lucky and privileged, I'm Australian, I wouldn't change it for the world.?????????????????????????????????????????????

  5. Why do people have to make silly comments and spoil the great feeling of being Australian and being proud. Just once I would like no one make degrading comments say something positive or move on.

  6. I'm in London right now, and have been around Europe and loving it. But now I'm feeling home sick. I had to look this up, because this is exactly how I feel.
